“Thisara Tharupathi Munasinghe” or “Tharu” as known by his music fans, has been involved in composing music for about ten years. “Tharu” who is 29 now, is probably the youngest Sri Lankan musician who has shown a great talent in such a younger age.

      Being the loving son of Late Austin Munasinghe, a Veteran Musicologist  in Sri Lanka “Tharu” has a genetic inheritance of the music and has already proven that he will extend the frontiers of the Sri Lankan Music and take it to the world.

      Tharu’s contribution to the Sri Lankan Stage is simply remarkable. He has been the music director of many award winning plays and he has shown a great talent from the very first Television Drama he created music, for which he won the best up coming Young Music Director for the music composition.
